University of Nevada School of Medicine Integrated Clinical Services Inc. is currently accepting resumes for a Sonographer to support the OB/GYN Dept.

The Sonographer is responsibl! e for providing diagnostic studies and support to patients through the utilization of high frequency and sound waves to detect anatomical abnormalities in accordance with prescribed sonographic procedures; maintains ultrasound and or radiology equipment.

Requirements: Certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) with OB/GYN credential required. Nuchal Translucency Quality Review (NTQR) credentials for Early Risk Assessment preferred. Minimum three (3) years experience preferred. Associates or Bachelors degree preferred. Advanced training in OB ultrasound highly preferred. The incumbent must maintain a pleasant and professional working relationship with all contacts while maintaining confidentiality, in person, phone and in writing.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • This position requires independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in producing quality radiographic exams.
  • Ability to inte! rpret and read documents such as safety rules, operating and m! aintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, professional journals, business periodicals, and/or government regulations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of common computer programs.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures.
  • Knowledge of OB/GYN ultrasound procedures and guidelines.
This position is full-time and will range from 32-40 hours per week. Driving to different OB/GYN clinics within the organization may be required.
