UNR Family Medicine Center is currently accepting applications for two Medical Assistant II positions within the OB/GYN department. The main responsibilities are to assist the professional healthcare provider with the administration of direct and indirect patien t care. Performs basic medical assisting procedures necessary in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of physician. Answer phones, room patients, chart detail, administer injections and patient education. This position requires excellent customer and patient service skills, requires knowledge of medical terminology and OSHA. Must be organized with a great attention to detail. National MA Certification preferred or able to obtain within 90 days
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent . Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant and preferred with 2 year experience, including pediatrics and immunizations; or 5 years related experience. Must have a current CPR certification Current State Laboratory Certification.
Preferred: Bilingual and OB/GYN experience
