Description

Position: MRI Technician
Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients served in his/her department. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to his of her age specific needs, and provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.
Provide hea lth care services applying x-ray energy and pulsed radio frequency and magnetic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging and related procedures to demonstrate sectional anatomic images for interpretation by; or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential to successful completion of the procedure. Provides services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
Provides leadership and supervision of all employees and students in the Diagnostic section. Provides services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. They will formulate technical goals, establish standards of practice and recommend policy that is in compliance with all regulatory agencies and corporate guidelines.
The MRI Technologist remains calm in crisis and emergency situations, and directs staff members effectively and appropriately.
The MRI Technologist maintains professional and effective working relationships with all members of the Health Care Team.
Qualifications
Education:
High school graduate or Equivalent Degree
Licensure:
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, A.R.R.T (R) and (MRI)
Current CPR certificate in Basic Life Support
Experience:
Two years clinical experience in MRI. Strong organizational skills. Proven leadership.
Demonstrated experience in establishing interpersonal relationships necessary to promote an effective working environment
