About this Position
This Center is Nevada's first baby friendly designated birth center. Our beautiful unit consists of 12 beds in the OB department; including 8 private labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum rooms (LDRP), 4 private rooms post cesarean section patients and 1 operating room suite for cesarean sections. The Women and Children's Center offers full service childbirth education programs, lactation consultants on staff, couplet care for new moms and babies, fully equipped nursery for stabilization, centralized monitoring, OB triage and breast feeding warm line.
Requirements
Hold a valid Nevada RN License or Interim Permit
Hold a current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) / Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Healthcare Providers certificate.
Minimum of 1 years experienc e in an inpatient OB/GYN setting with documented training in labor and delivery, couplet care/nursery is preferred.
Hold or complete STABLE certification within 1 year
Hold or complete Advanced Fetal Heart monitoring certification within 1 year
Hold or complete NRP certification within 1 year
BSN or above preferred
