The Claim Representative will report to our Assistant Vice President Equine Claims and be based in or near Ocala, Florida . We will also consider candidates with equine experience in Lexington, KY.
Key Accountabilities:
- Obtain a valid claims adjuster license (upon completion of training).
- Investigate and determine coverage of loss and adjust all elements of equine claims.
- Share on-call duties with team members.
- Work with external customers to address questions, resolve problems and maintain rapport.
- Participate in special projects or assist other team members as needed.
- In addition to the above key responsibilities, may be required to undertake other duties from time to time as the Company may reasonably require.
Experience and Knowledge Required:
- College degree required.
- Equine Industry experience required.
- Experience in Insurance preferred.
- PC literate – good working knowledge of MS Office .
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in typing / keyboarding.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Competent in Mathematics.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
