The University of Nevada School of Medicine, department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Las Vegas, seeks an outstanding Generalist at! the Assistant or Associate level. The successful incumbent will work independently and be in a collaborative practice with OB/ GYN faculty and will coordinate care for patients in the OB/ GYN division. Ideal candidates are board certified or eligible physicians with excellent training who are interested in an academic career. The OB/ GYN department has a well-established practice. Members of the department also supervise resident continuity clinics, cover gynecology teaching service and provide hospital consultation.
As a Generalist , you will manage patient care, teach medical students and residents, perform patient assessments, collect information which includes document data, diagnosis, management and coordination of care for patients, maintain medical records, prescribe appropriate interventions and medications, provide direct care in both the inpatient and outpatient setting, orient and educate medical students and residents.

Required Qualifications
MD, DO, or equivalent degree and completion of a OB/ GYN residency from an ACGME accredited program prior to start date. Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology prior to start date.
Eligible for an unrestricted Nevada medical license, malpractice insurance and meet credentialing requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Good communication skills, demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to advance common departmental goals, and research interests are all desirable.
